Executive Producers
served as a police officer in Southwest Virginia after leaving the military in 1970, and then worked for many years as a leading private investigator for such companies as Boeing and Alaska Airlines, and for large insurance companies and private attorneys. Don's contacts in the military opened the door for the shoots at Ft. Benning and Ft. Bragg. He studied film-directing classes taught by Stanley Kramer and took film courses at the University of Washington and numerous other film and video production courses. Annette R. Hall worked for many years at Microsoft, where she gained extensive experience working with computer graphics and managing content collections. She also took video and film production classes, as well as camera-acting classes. Creating art both traditionally and on computer, Annette is a gifted fine artist and graphic designer. She managed the project with Virginia Hashii, created the maps for the documentary and handled all production and clean-up work on the photos, and provided art direction. In addition to co-authoring Don Hall's memoir, I SERVED, she designed and produced the book, plus all the SILENT VICTORY and I SERVED promotional materials, and this web site.
Producer/Director
started out as a film editor in New York and worked her way up to producing, writing, and directing industrial, educational and documentary projects for a variety of network, film, and non-profit broadcast companies, and magazines. In the early 1990's, she took a sabbatical from the industry and moved to the Pacific Northwest to pursue additional education. She resumed her career in the industry by taking on the producer/director role for SILENT VICTORY.
Editor
work on SILENT VICTORY was his first foray into documentaries, and he met the challenge with aplomb and professionalism. He is currently the Senior Editor at Piranha Productions in Seattle, WA. His skills with Photoshop and After-Effects help create captivating commercials and corporate videos. His passion and talent for video has also resulted in Emmy Awards and Broadcast Emmy Nominations. Twelve years ago Jim started his career as a freelancer editing tape-to-tape and editing for local news stations. For the past three years, Jim has worked with multiple video formats and non-linear systems, with a special emphasis on High Definition and finish work performed on Avid's DS system. Employing his highly developed technical expertise and natural artistic talent to work on a wide range of projects with a variety of clients, Jim has honed his skills enabling him to explore many creative editorial areas.
Director of Photography (Ft. Benning, Ft. Bragg, Florida shoots)
Tony Foresta began his career as a cameraman in New York twenty five years ago, working for WNET public television and then shooting network news, war coverage and documentaries, winning two Emmy Awards for Cinematography. In 1975, he formed Flying Tiger Communications with his partner, Kaye Armstrong, and shot corporate and commercial projects, as well as such famous Broadway shows as MISS SAIGON and PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. Tony owned and operated two helicopters and shot many aerials including the opening of LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN. His aerial expertise helped him develop camera stabilization for both aircraft and vehicles, including his innovative Steadicam motorcycles. In 1989, Tony and his partner opened a branch office in Orlando, and eventually moved the entire operation to Florida. Tony's career took another turn in the direction of features and episodic television with such credits as Caravan Pictures' DEAD PRESIDENTS and CBS' Larry Hagman show, ORLEANS. Tony's first full length feature project, PUDDLE CRUISER, won the Hamptons Film Festival and was well received at Sundance. He has since been the D.P. on numerous commercials, feature shorts and two feature films, ALL SHOOK UP and ALLIGATOR ALLEY.
DP/Documentary Cameraman (Wilmington, NC shoot)
Dusty Powers began his professional career as a studio cameraman in 1975 with the South Carolina Educational Television Network. The following year he left the studio and went into the field as a videographer with the award-winning national children's magazine show, STUDIO SEE, which was shot on location from Alaska to the Caribbean. Westinghouse Broadcasting hired Dusty in 1979 and moved him to WJZ-TV in Baltimore where he worked with the syndicated program, EVENING MAGAZINE. In 1981 Dusty moved to Los Angeles, bought his own camera package, and began an independent career. For the next 12 years he worked as a cameraman for productions such as BARBARA WALTERS SPECIALS and DAYS OF OUR LIVES. He shot documentaries for ABC NEWS and over 50 segments for RESCUE 911. Relationships were established with press-kit companies to shoot behind-the-scenes promotions for television and movie productions. Dusty shot the press kits for GLADIATOR, PATRIOT, 28 DAYS, HANNIBAL, and DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE. Some of his clients include 60 MINUTES, 48 HOURS, 20/20, and WORLD NEWS TONIGHT. He has also shot several documentary projects for HBO and THE LEARNING CHANNEL. Dusty shot a six one-hour-program documentary series for ABC titled HOUSTON MEDICAL. He lives on the coast of North Carolina near Wilmington.

Karel Bauer has been creating high-end film and video imagery for over nearly two decades. After earning his BFA in film from NYU, Karel moved to Louisiana, where he photographed and edited a highly rated wildlife series for public television. Moving to Seattle in 1991, Karel established a freelance business with emphasis on documentary and corporate projects. With clients including BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY, RICK STEVE'S EUROPE, HBO, and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, as well as several Fortune 500 companies, Karel shoots nationally and internationally. He has won numerous awards, including Tellies, Cine's, and an Emmy nomination.
Composers
, a talented musician, learned the Vietnamese music scale in order to compose the beautiful Asian-style music heard in SILENT VICTORY. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1967 to 1971 and was with the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines, and 3rd Marine Division while in Vietnam. In 1985 he was commissioned by the Veterans Administration to paint the State of Montana Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Kiren has degrees in Fine Visual Arts and in Criminal Justice. An established expert in computer graphics and digital imaging, he is the author of a book on digital imaging, published by Microsoft Press. His fine combat art is exhibited with the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Army, and also in private collections around the world. He created several original scores while with Aldus Corporation for training tapes, performances, and corporate events. For Microsoft, he composed original pieces of music for multimedia use and for imaging software. He composes and has taught rhythm and drumming workshops. Alan VeuCasovic, is a talented composer and contributed a variety of beautiful original pieces to SILENT VICTORY. He lives in Southern California.
